The Biographies: The Story of Rusty

Russel Bane Kahoku Avach, or Rusty as he's more commonly referred to, was born on January 2 of 1981. His first name, "Russel" means "little red one", and is English in origin. His second name, "Bane", is Hawaiian for "long-awaited child", and was given to him by his mother, Maria Avach. His third name, "Kahoku", is Hawaiian for "star" and was given to him by James, his big brother, who was only 2 years old at the time. Rusty spent most of his childhood in New York with James and his parents until a tragedy struck them in 2001. (see the biography of James Avach). Though Rusty and James were very close for a long time, Rusty was always the one who took more risks and tested the limits the most.

"Even since he was a kid, he was always jumping off the barn that we use to have and he use to jump his bike over the creek in the backyard." James stated. "Then he got older and the toys stopped being things like bikes and started to get bigger and alot more expensive; meaning, when he turned 16 my parents bought him a brand new Civic which he crashed two days after trying to jump two cliffs. He's crazy." James isn't particularly one to talk. But he goes on to say that Rusty always took bigger risks; James usually just risked death by a gun or by a normal run-of-the-mill car crash, while Rusty risked death by crashing into a ravine or worse.

Rusty left to stay with relatives in the Rockies for a couple of months until finally he contacted James once again and asked if he could come back. James met him at the Albany airport and Rusty has been living with or in the neighborhood of James ever since.
