The Biographies: The Story of Avalanche: Continued.
So James' first racing experience was not a pleasant one. However, after his two-year absence from the racing business, James became interested in the sport all over again, and as one of his best friends, named Jordan Van Etten, more commonly referred to as Tank, explains it, James never really left.
"He was always at the practice tracks and the straightways, and he never left my side when I was practicing. It was like he was meant to be there or something." Tank once explained. And for once, I can honestly say that Tank was correct...James himself, when asked, admitted that he never could really leave the races. "It felt wrong not to breath fumes." he said quietly, looking off into space as he talked. "I never understood it myself, my parents were never really into racing...in fact, my father despised it, so you'd think that I would hate it too. In that sense I guess I'm my grandfather's descendant for sure...he loves the fumes and as his friend Joey would say, he's got 'gasoline in his veins and an engine for a brain', and my grandfather loves that." Apparently so does James.
From beginning to the present, James was never really quite what society would label as a "normal" person. His love for the races and the fights has brought him endless trouble and hard times, yet for the sake of argument, James is no worse off than if he behaved like every other 25 year old man. There is no clear end in sight to James' strength or intelligence, and it is likely that he will never quit the drug he loves the most; adrenaline.
